The course provides an overview and introduction to the knowledge of safe working on Electric Hybrid vehicles designed to provide personnel a basic awareness of Electric/Hybrid vehicles and the safety measures to be employed/required to avoid potential injury.
This knowledge course I DOES NOT deem someone competent to work on the high-energy electrical system of an electric and hybrid vehicle.
This qualification aims to give delegates the knowledge required to work safely around Electric and Hybrid vehicles .
This qualification is for training providers and employers to deliver to learners in the 16-18 and 19+ age groups. These learners will have an interest in gaining the knowledge to work safely within the automotive retail industry as it continues to see an increase in Electric/Hybrid vehicles entering the workplace.
The course is designed to provide learners with an introduction to the knowledge of safe working practices, the dangers surrounding and the precautions required to avoid potential injury when near Electric/Hybrid vehicles.
This is a fully IMI ACCREDITED course and the first part of the IMI Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Qualification or VRQ route.
IMI Level 2 Award is required to carry out maintenance activities- QFQUAL I.D 603/1466/7
This qualification will help support progression onto qualifications that further develop their knowledge of either working safely in emergency or recovery situations or within a technical role carrying out routine servicing and maintenance activities on Electric/Hybrid vehicles.
